1. Gold – It is atomic number 79 with the symbol Au. A rare metal, gold is the most malleable and ductile among other precious metals. Described as yellow, gold can be made into jewelries and coins among others. As a metal, gold does not degrade, rust, corrode or interact with other metals.
2. Silver – Is the most commonly used precious metals. Silver can be found in our utensils, jewelries and armor. High thermal, this greyish-white and lustrous metal conducts electricity and has numerous industrial uses. In the periodic table of elements, silver has the symbol Ag with the atomic number 47
3. Platinum – Just like silver, platinum is greyish-white in color. Rarer than gold, this precious metal is known for its uses in jewelry and watches. Aside from that, platinum is used in electroplating, as a catalyst in converters, in making of dental crowns and magnets. Platinum is the metallic element with the atomic number 78 and the symbol Pt.
