David’s mom has been constantly calling him. She wanted him to keep his promise that he would paint the garage. David has made the promise several months ago but still hasn’t kept his word.

David was really busy at work. Since he just got promoted, he is still getting used to his position and is keen on impressing his bosses even more. David has called him mom several times to apologize but it seems that David’s mom wasn’t letting him get off the hook that easily.

Finally, David got enough time to drop by his mom’s house. Enroute to the house, he dropped by a hardware store to buy some paint and brushes. He also dropped by Starbucks and bought his mom and himself a grande mocha frap.

His mom was really glad that he took the time and effort to come by the house. When David was halfway finished painting, she bought him a lovely snack of freshly baked apple cinnamon pie and iced tea. They chatted for a while and talked about that vintage Singer sewing machine David found in the garage. A few hours later, David was finally finished. He painted the garage a shade of blue and he did a pretty neat job.
